Product Review: Does what it says on the box
This device does precisely what it says on the box. It is a great product.

On loading the software you are confronted with an intimidating array of submenus but provided you start at the top and work your way through they are logical and fairly straight forward to complete. The titles of the sub menus themselves are not as intuitive as they might be so making changes may cause you to peck your way through a few to find the one you want.

I have only two criticisms of the camera. The first is in daylight you can make it look as if it is inoperative so it does not attract the attention of those you might be trying to protect yourself from... well at least for as long as it takes for the camera to send you a picture. However in the dark, the infra red leds are obvious and provide an immediate warning to those being photographed. Half a star deducted because though a criticism it is predictable. The second is the daylight colour pictures have a rose tint to them and...

Product Review: Good while it lasted
The sound is clear, the light indicator is a good accompaniment too, especially if you want the sound down lower as it gets later in the evening. The base in our sons room has a low level light that is a nice comforter for him and the reception is strong with help from the arial.

All positive for sure, apart from for no obvious reason the connection on the speaker unit has recently been failing. We have had to wiggle the wire to maintain a connection. I know things aren't going to last forever, but this wasn't dropped and truth be told its probably put me off buying another from the same range.

Product Review: Found heartbeat at 12 weeks easily... magical!
I am 12 weeks and 1 day today and my Angelsounds doppler arrived today. I tried it out immediately even though it says 14-16 weeks on the box. Luckily, i am a very slim girl & from previous scans i had a good idea that baby was on my right.
After a few scares such as bleeding etc and 2 scans I am still quite nervous so this has put my mind at ease as i can hear the baby when i want :) It was a lovely moment and i cant wait to try it out again in a couple of days to show my boyfriend.

Although the monitor screen is impressive.

It never picked up signal and when it did it would also pick up my mobile signal and wifi meaning i couldnt have my laptop or mobile near the device and if it was the screeen was fuzzy an d so was the sound so at times i had to turn the volume down in order to keep my mobile in the room but its pointless being that i wouldnt be able to hear my child crying or constantly staring at a fuzzy screen so for this reason i sent it back.

It also look second hand it didnt look brand new

The sound quality is very good and clear. We have not used the 2 way talk feature yet so unable to give an opinion on that feature.

There is an annoying tune each time you turn the monitor on but its no big deal, just remember to turn the monitor on while you are not near your sleeping baby if he/she is a light sleeper.

The picture quality is not brilliant but for this price it is to be expected. Night vision is very good at making it possible to see your baby, the quality is still poor though. X2 zoom is pretty much pointless as it is very pixelated.

If your looking for a product that will help you see if your baby is breathing this is not the product for you as the detail that the monitor shows is not good enough for that. If your looking for a product so that you can hear your baby with the added feature of being able to keep an actual eye on him/her then this product is fine.

Product Review: Worth every penny
Easily the most reassuring piece of kit we've bought regards our new baby (back in 2008) & we still use it now. Its a good picture, although there is a slight interference whenever we're using the fan oven downstairs (!). But great on a practical level as u can just monitor how your kid is without popping your head through the door & waking them up. I've even used the "talk" option on the handset which is hilarious - "I'm coming to get you - it's time to get up", "Ok Daddy!" All of our parent friends have commented on how great it is.
Recommended for all worrying parents!
PS: I dont really get what the other reviewers are saying about interference, unless they live in old cottages with v thick walls or next to Picadilly Circus.

I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant with my first child and I bought this product as I was worrying and panicking all the time thinking that something was wrong although my scans & midwife appointments have always been okay and gone well. I was a bit weary about purchasing this product at first as it's cheaper than some others that I have seen and I was a bit unsure as to whether it would be any good however I am delighted with this product I think its absolutely fantastic! I managed to pick my baby's heartbeat up straight away and its extremely clear. Me and my boyfriend can now both enjoying listening to our baby & it gives me piece of mind between midwife appointments that everything is okay. I bought this item after getting an all-clear 9 week scan. I wasn't sure whether it would work yet as I was so early (was 9+1) and in fact the first couple of days I only picked up my own heart beat! But on the third day, I drank loads of water, waited until my bladder was really full (it was quite painful to press on, and made me feel a little bit nauseous, to be honest) and moved across my belly really slowly... After having four miscarriages (one late), this item has really put my mind at rest. I will only use it every few days (as I don't want to scare myself or baby!) but knowing that I can listen to little bean for the next few months has relieved some of the anxiety I have been feeling. My assessment ? Its good.

All the other reviewers have gone into vast detail about it so i dont feel i have too, but i will say that its light, battery life is very good, i love the colour screen and how ridiculously easy it was to set up, if you watch the instruction video at the top of the page you wont need the manual at all.

I loved the ability to talk through it the most. As new parents you are constantly going into the babies room a hundred times a day if you hear a noise or if the baby is fussy and this allows you to speak to your baby and even sing them lullabys without getting out of bed, or leave the kitchen, or whatever you may be doing, a great trick when you are exhausted as i left it on my pillow and both me and baby settled into a better routine because of it.

Product Review: well worth it!
I bought this sensor after been paranoid about cot death and I have to say it's the only reason why I can sleep at night. I have used it in a moses basket, a travel cot and tried it in the cotbed and as long as it is on a hard flat surface(like stated in the instructions)it works great! I even tried blowing onto the mattress as it said fans could affect the movement pad and guess what...it picked it up! My only complaint is that you can't turn the light off that flashes everytime it sensors movement, unlike the clicking noise, so the first night it was like sleeping on a run way so the next night I put a dish over the top of it and this solved the problem. You could still hear the alarm if it went off so isn't a problem now.

I have had a problem with the unit beeping once in the middle of the night and exchanged it with no problem, as with anything electrical these days, just keep your receipt incase BUT I would reccommend this and the even better thing is that you can...

Product Review: Pretty good, but not high quality
We ordered this product and mostly it is worth the money. When you are in the inbetween stage, where your belly isn't that big yet and you don't have any symptoms and no baby kicking you, it is nice to have reassurance that all is well. There is always a fair amount of static, but I have been able to find our babies heartbeat every time. I would say that the Fetal Heart Rate is a bit rubbish. It's always jumping all over the place and sometimes says there is not heart rate at all when we can clearly hear it. Other than that, it's easy to use and we enjoy listening to the babies heart beat. I would recommend it, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for. So, if it's great quality you're after, then you'll have to spend a bit more money! :)

Item is very noisey with interference from other electrical items. Can't hear my son, and with the tinist intereference camera becomes fuzzy. Very disappointing item did not work as well as I thought I expected more from this product.

Product Review: Interesting little gadget!
All I can say is that the product seems to be well-made. I can only assume that it gives an accurate representation of the strength and regularity or otherwise of the pulses, and this is of particular interest to me. I certainly don't regret buying it. I have no way of knowing whether it's accurate or not, but I'm inclined to believe that it gives a pretty good indication of the state of my heart-beat.

It is a functional foetal Doppler, but mine didn't come with any gel (as the review above stated) and the 'UK adapter' the came with mine didn't actually fit the plug of the Doppler!

Product Review: Waste of money
Having had 3 kids and used various monitors, i have to say this is the worst ever!! lots of constant buzzing, which makes it difficult to hear baby breathing. When used on portable mode i was changing the batteries at least twice a week. last nite i plugged it into the mains, and discovered it would not work that way unless it had batteries too!!! Im now looking for another one, and cant wait to bin this one!!! complete waste of money.

Product Review: GREAT DEVICE BUT WILL THE PARENT UNIT STAND THE TEST OF TIME?
Monitors have certainly moved on in the last five years and we only changed because our old one gave up the ghost.

Compared to my 5 year old BT monitor this is quite a dinky little device.
The parent unit feels so small conpared to our old one and I was concerned that it did not feel as robust.
Still the last one was built like a battleship and had it's fair share of accidents. A bit of tape held the battery compartment on.

Whether this will stand up to knocks and drops time will tell.

It has more funtions that we really need but the discounted price added value to the product.

Pro's

The temperature sensor works really well.
The sound is crystal clear.
Handy size.
More functions than are really necessary.
Lullabys have a clear quality about them. (my daughter would probably dance the night away in her cot if we used this function!)
Battery life.

Product Review: Small and tidy
When we go travelling it's great to be able to wrap up our monitor and the cables to keep them from getting damaged, or just all knotted up. This keeps them tidy and safe and is small and compact, wich is nice as otherwise the kitchen sink would never have got in the car :) Travelling with a new born is hard enough, anything that saves space is a great buy in my book.
