Product Review: Great Monitor... despite initial issues.
I recently purchased this monitor to replace an ancient Tomy analogue baby monitor, and I must admit that the price / review combination swayed me.
This monitor is really very good- it's really well made, with clear display of the temperature in the baby's room, and a night light that can be turned on/off (and dimmed) with the parent unit. The parent unit is battery operated, and has an excellent range & sound quality, owing to the DECT system it uses... It works a treat in my house, which is pretty old, with thick walls. The WiFi chokes loads, but this unit works a treat.
It's also worth mentioning the page function - you can use the baby unit to sound an alarm on the parent unit, if you can't find it. There are also LED indicator lights across the top of the parent unit - so if you turn the volume right down, you still get a visual read on whether your baby is distressed.
