Product Review: poor sound, great picture
i recently returned a sumner video monitor as the sound stopped working on the new unit. I purchased this monitor based on its look, a few positive reviews i found and the price [$] There is a major design fault with the system whereby you only get any sound at all when the baby is crying and even then it only stays on for about 5 seconds. I spoke with Lindam today and they confirmed from their product design team that this has been noted and they are producing a new model which will be out in July 09. They offered me an exchange when the new model was available but what am i going to do for the next month or so until then! This model has great picture quality and the camera has nice uses such as a lullaby function which you can trigger from the handset (although there is no volume control on it and it is VERY loud for a sleepy baby) and has night lights which are also a nice touch.
