Product Review: Monitor works well but parent unit now broken
I bought this product after our first son was born and was initially pleased with it but after a short duration the parent unit has now stopped working as the wiring from the plug unit has gone. Because the wiring is all sealed it then took a lot of fiddling about and regluing to resolve hence the drop in ratings. I am hoping after the DIY fix that this will continue to work but the issue is that the parent unit does not hold its charge for very long so you have to unplug the charger from upstairs where you would normally have kept the monitor for overnight and move it to downstairs when your child is kipping during the day. Reception works fine and the melodies and lights on the child unit are all nice and effective (dont tend to use them a lot though).
Both units do have plenty of cable to make them convenient to place in the nursery and bedroom and I have never had problems with interference unless you get the parent unit too close to the child unit which is totally...
